Learn to Play Hockey (An opportunity for students in grades 5-8)
Student will have the exciting opportunity to learn the fundamentals of hockey in a safe and supportive environment! Participants will practice balance, coordination, teamwork, and sportmanship-all while having fun on the ice.

What you'll do:
Interview classmates, teachers, and community members
Write news, features, opinions, and reviews
Learn photography, editing, and layout
Work with caring mentors and build real-world journalism skills
See your work published and shared with our school community
When: Thursdays, 2:30–4:00 PM (weekly)
Where: School Library
Who: Students in grades 3–8 (all experience levels welcome)
Expectations: Come ready to collaborate, meet deadlines, and represent East Rock with pride. Snacks, encouragement, and lots of creativity provided!
